Ruan Gustavo

I started programming out of curiosity and still do it outside work. That curiosity pulls me toward AI, systems, and products where complexity has to become clear to the person using them.

At Monest, I work on MIA, an AI for debt negotiation that handles more than 2 million messages a day and has recovered over $150 million in debt. I own agent architecture, evaluation, and observability, including an evaluation pipeline that cut false positives by 5.5×.

Before that, I helped build Pethis from the start, designed AI agents for Brazil's National Council of Justice at Loomi, and built Vivo's CRM, from design system to the APIs behind it, for an operation with 15,000+ call-center operators, where I also led 50+ developers from Cursor to Claude Code.

Outside work I contribute to open source, mostly pull requests and issues on tools I use every day.
